Pismo Beach is a quaint little town with an wonderful downtown area for strolling the shops, restaurants, hotels and a beautiful pier, summer and winter. Enjoy fisihing off the Pismo pier while you watch the surfers below, or just take a stroll and take in the most awesome sunsets. Pismo was at one time famous for its clams. Although, you will see a sign made of a sculpted clam when you enter or leave the city, clams digging is illegal here now unless you purchase a license. Even with a license you are only allowed a certain number each day if you find them. There are many festivals in Pismo Beach throughout the year, such as the Clam Festival and the Jazz Festival, and the very popular Car Show on Father's Day weekend each year. | ||||||||||||||||||||
